Gerry O’Brien
BComm, MBS, QFA | Managing Director
A graduate of UCC with a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters Degree in Business Economics, Gerry began his career with Deutsche Bank in Dublin’s IFSC. He then worked with Cornmarket advising the public sector on retirement planning. From 2004 Gerry has been the Managing Director of two successful brokerages. In 2020 Gerry established Fortis Financial Management which has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Gerry is a Cork native and is married with three children and a dog! He also volunteers with Douglas GAA Club where he currently serves and club Chairperson.
Natasha Porter
QFA | Business Development
Natasha has worked in financial services since 2003, bringing over two decades of industry experience and knowledge. She now focuses on business development at Fortis Financial, building relationships, driving growth and overseeing marketing and office management.
Based in Cork, Natasha is married with three children and is passionate about helping Fortis Financial grow while delivering a personal and professional service to clients and business partners. Natasha is the current secretary of the Crookhaven Harbour Sailing Club and an active member of the Junior Social Committee at Douglas Lawn Tennis Club
Karen Ryan
BBS, QFA | Financial Advisor
Karen is a highly qualified and experienced Financial Advisor with over 15 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive knowledge and expertise, with a strong focus on ensuring that every client receives a professional and personalised level of service.
Karen holds a Degree in Business & Finance and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA). She takes great pride in building strong, lasting relationships with her clients and in understanding their individual needs and financial goals. Her approachable nature, attention to detail and commitment to delivering a consistently high standard of service have made her a trusted and valued member of the team.
Originally from Limerick, Karen has called Cork home for many years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children.
Conor Tobin

Conor is a dedicated finance professional with strong academic and industry experience. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College Cork and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
Originally from Tipperary, Conor has built his career in the finance industry both in Ireland and abroad, including several years working in London. This international experience has given him a broad perspective and valuable insights across a range of financial services.
Conor draws on this background to provide clients with clear, practical guidance and a fresh outlook. His focus is on delivering professional advice tailored to each client’s needs, helping them make confident financial decisions for the future.
